Reach Child and Youth Development Society was the featured beneficiary at the Delta Firefighters Charitable Foundation’s Harvest Festival last month. A stunning $30,911 was awarded to the local charity to support children with special needs through the Building for Children Together campaign to help construct a community-based child development centre.
John Burr, Kristy Storey, Dave Mason and Jarrod Burr presented the cheque from the Firefighters Charitable Foundation outside the new Louis E. Jackson Kinsmen Centre for Children currently under construction.
“We’re proud and honored to support Reach Society and we’re happy to be part of the Reach family” said Delta Firefighters Charitable Foundation president John Burr. Renie D’Aquila, Executive Director of Reach Society, applauded the Delta Firefighters with heartfelt appreciation for all their hard work on Harvest Festival raising an amazing record sum of $106,911 to benefit REACH, the Blue Skies Project, and the Community Initiative Fund.
