Reach Child & Youth Development Society

Believing in potential – Helping children with special needs
& their families since 1959

Child Development Centre Delta BC

Reach is a non-profit organization in Delta that helps children with special needs reach their full potential. Our organization has been providing services to children and their families since 1959. We provide timely, accessible and supportive community programs and services for the Delta, Surrey, and Langley areas.

We promote optimal development and well-being for all children, youth, and adults, where all individuals flourish. We work together with families to recognize each child’s strengths and develop their abilities. Over 1000 children and their families benefit from our services on an annual basis.

SCD Program Parent

The support of the REACH staff has allowed me to grow as a person and as a parent. Everyone at REACH is approachable. Compassion and understanding are part of their inherent nature.

Parent of child in Reach counselling program

What would we do without it. It’s just awesome. …I can’t rave enough about it and how it helps [my son] move ahead. I couldn’t help him in this way.

Kids Friendship Club Parent

(Our son) was able to generalize and apply many of the skills he learned here into school and community. His teacher reports increased participation with peers and initializing at recess and lunch. We could really see more positive confidence performing at his piano recital and at gymnastics – thank you! “

You have also showed us that our feelings of frustration are normal and that things will get better.

Preschool Parent

One year ago the extend of his language at age three was “want juice”. Now my son can come home and tell me about his day. If you don’t believe that is a miracle you are not looking hard enough.
